It would be nice if Musescore could somehow mark (maybe a vertical line going through the note) notes that are on the beat.
This would really help for reading scores that have tricky rhythms. Also, this would be useful for people that need to track their rhythm while they are tapping their feet or clapping their hands.
Comments
FWIW, it would be pretty simple to design a plugin to do this, if the marking you wished to attach is one that can be added via the plugin interface. Seems the sort of thing better suited as an add-on than as core functionality anyhow.
I also think marking beats would be an excellent feature to have in MuseScore, for example for educational purposes. I know of at least one other Music notation software package that can add beat numbers to all (or selected) staves in a score.
This would be a very useful addition for any MuseScore plugin developers out there.
I too would find this to be a very useful feature. When composing vocal music that attempts to reproduce speech patterns, we often end up with complex rhythms that are hard to visualize along with the words.

(Needs a build using Qt 5.12 or later though)
