Issue with volta brackets

Whenever I open up a recent chart two particular volta brackets always are touching each other, which is not how I input them. Then I right click the 2nd bracket and go to properties, click cancel and it shifts back to the way I originally wrote it. I save the chart and when I open it up again they're back to touching. I've attached two pictures of the before and after to better clarify what I'm trying to explain. It's a tad annoying that whenever I want to print this score I have to I have to tweak these particular brackets.

Also, is there a way to nudge volta brackets up and down?
