Crashes when opening new score
I have MuseScore version 1.2 on Windows 7. Everything works with this version of the program but whenever I try to open a new score it crashes. Any ideas why this might happen or how I could fix it? I've already tried re-installing.

When you say you want to "open" a new score, do you really mean you wish to "create" one? "OPen" normally implies an existing score. And if that's what you really mean, posting the score you are having trouble with would help.
If you mean you are having trouble *creating* a new score, could you list step by step what you are doing and say at what point the crash occurs? I guess if you have a corrupt template and are trying to create from that, this could cause a crash. Or if you create from scratch and have a corrupt instruments.xml. Have you created any custom templates or instrument lists? Did it work before and then suddenly stop?
Also, try Revert to factory settings .
