To reproduce:

  • Create a blank score with one instrument.
  • Create a single part for that instrument. Disable multimeasure rests for ease of editing.
  • Use the full score for the following edits.
  • Drag a "Start Repeat" barline to measure 3.
  • Drag an "End and Start Repeat" barline to measure 5.
  • Drag an "End Repeat" barline to measure 7.

  • Switch to editing the single part.

  • Drag an "End and Start Repeat" barline to measure 7, overwriting the "End Repeat" that is already there.
  • Drag an "End Repeat" barline to measure 9.

  • Switch back to the full score. Note that bar 7 in the full score ends with just an "end repeat", and bar 7 in the part ends with an "end and start repeat".

    (i.e. full score looks like

|:---:||:---:|---:|

and the part looks like

|:---:||:---:||:---:|

).

All barlines are added by dragging to a measure, not an existing barline.

Though these instructions have the problematic barline added in a part, I'm pretty sure I've seen this occur when the problematic barline has been added in the full score instead, with some mix of instruments being added after the fact (I didn't pick up the resulting errors in my parts immediately when it happened).

Comments

Same issue in 2.0.3, so no regression
Also the step Drag an "End and Start Repeat" barline to measure 5 already leads to just an end repeat bar in measure 5 of the part.
