Playback doesn't sound, no note entry possible after trying to playback
I compiled the most recent mscore (be89a2d), and seeing that it won't playback! My platform: LINUX Fedora 25 with all updates applied. Clicking on some note, that note will be played, but nothing happens if I click the playback button!
I tried this with all my mscore scores I have :-(
No such appearance with the actual mscore-2.0.3, and no such appearance with the current x86_64 master appimage.
I'm sure you are able to reproduce this with all mscore scores you have.

Copnfirmed, not here on Windows 7 either. Factory reset doesn't help. Also clicking on a note doesn't give any sound here.
Only id clicking first on some note, it will be played, but after clicking then on some additional note , mscore won't play it.
After I click play, it doesn't play and I couldn't add notes anymore. Ubuntu 16.04
You'd need to stop playback, it is active, even if not sounding.
Edit: no this doesn't help, if once been in play mode there seems no way back into note entry mode, but a restart of MuseScore
