Musescore Program on two different devices

• May 8, 2017 - 15:11

Hi. I have Musecore on both a computer and and a laptop. I originally only used the computer, but it is not always available any more so I installed it on my laptop. I'm still planning on using the computer when I can, so I was wondering if there was some way for the two to be synced. Like if I worked on a score on one device, it would automatically update it on the other. I thought I could use my musescore account, but I don't know how to update a score on the program using one on my account. Anyone know what to do?

First of all make sure you use one account. Save the score off of one computer then download it onto the other. Make your changes, then update the score and it will be updated on MuseScore.com.

That's true, it will just add a number indicating how many copies of it are in your download folder also. It's a little more work, but you could MOVE it to you folder that you keep it in, that will prevent the next download from being named something like "My Score (2)" and update the last version of it. You will of course have to close it in MuseScore before you move it. You could also Save as... and replace the old version.

There are other options in the cloud that you could use to keep from having to do the extra work to get it opened with the right name in MuseScore.

Use some cloud service like dropbox, box.com, Google drive, OneDrive etc. and sync the Folder with the scores between both machines and the cloud
