playback and text toolbars disappeared

My Playback toolbar at the top right has disappeared. Also, the text toolbar at the bottom left. (The Playpanel under Display does work, though).Don't know if downloading the Sinfonia Soundfont had anything to do with this. (My computer is running fine, NOT slow.) Del Hudson thuban2@gmail.com

Text toolbar appears and disappears automatically - it's only visible when editing text. The play toolbar is listed as "Transport" in the Display menu; you probably inadventently clicked it off.

MY text editor no longer shows in the bottom of the Musescore window
I have to say -- it's a stupid idea to have an element "automatically" appear and disappear. That is, for sure, destined to be a BUG. Now I have rehearsals tomorrow and can't edit any text.
Factory reset did nothing.
There is NO WAY to force the editor open -- right? If it doesn't "automatically" appear you have no other option.

Can anybody recommend a more reliable software please?

To be clear: to edit text, simply double-click it - you don't use a toolbar. You can then edit the text directly in place. After you double-click the text, the text toolbar appears at the bottom of the screen to enable you change the formatting of individual characters. Far from being a stupid idea, this is the standard behavior across many if not most programs that allow for adding text elements within documents of another type (eg, drawing apps, like Google Draw, Microsoft Paint, but also pretty much every music notation program).

BTW, the toolbar is really only meant for changes within the text - e.g., to make some words within the text bold, or different characters at different sizes. To change the formatting of the entire text, right click and use Text Properties, or Text Style to change formatting of all elements of that type.
