Merging tied chords into one leaves ties behind

Steps:

1. Open the attached score. The second part has been filled by copying the first and pasting shifted by one minim.
2. Select first (tied) note of part 2, meas. 2.
3. Change duration into whole

Result: Tie remains and moves to the first note with same pitch as selected note.
