With NSIS working now with unicode thanks to lasconic, there is one open task and that's to translate "Create desktop shortcut"

We have a couple already:

I'll take the opportunity with this task to investigate some third party translation services such as Transifex.

No reason, a bad copy paste, it's fixed in the current master.

The list of the LANG_* variables is not always obvious. I added a list in the gist

With the move to Transifex a couple of years back, does it include the translation strings for the above string as well (e.g. this can be considered “fixed”), or where is it maintained?
