"Dot before" for quintuple meters
Hi. I was trying to typeset F. Rzewski's Nanosonata n° 36, for the Book 6, and I encountered a rather uncommon dot, used before the note in order to "complete" the 5/8 bar with a single note
Does Musescore support this notation or I'm forced to use this graphical workaround?

The pictures you entered do not go together, so what you are trying to do is not clear.
It's not a standard notation, so no, MuseScore does not support it directly. A workaround such as what you are employing will be the way to go.
