Missing in guitar tabs
many articulations are missing for the guitar tab notation.
http://www.sibelius.com/products/sibelius/2/images/creating_music_guita…
1 - Various types of "bend" : actually, only full bend (bend of two semitone) is displayed in the "Articulation an Ornaments" tab. Are missing :
- Slight Bend : Microtone bend (1/4)
- Half step bend : bend of one semitone (1/2)
- Whole and half step bend : bend of 3 semitones (1 1/2)
- 2 whole steps bend : bend of 4 semitones (Yes, it is possible.... Hard, but possible)
- Bend and release : The string is played then bend (1, 2, 3 or 4 semitones) during a certain duration before it's released.
http://www.finalemusic.com/usermanuals/finale2012mac/content/image1263…
- Prebend : String is bent (1, 2, 3 or 4 semitones) before picking
- Compound Bend and Release (only first note is plucked)
- Unisson Bend : 2 notes are plucked at the same time. The lower note is then bent to reach the height of the treeble one.
2 - Hammer-On and Pull off are not formerly present, but they can be achieved using slur.
So it's ok to me.
3 - Slide
the list is obviously not complete, But with this, the tablature edition will become really interresting.
Best Regards

I'm not a guitarist, so forgive my lack of knowledge:
1. Maybe more presets could be introduced, but are they required? I'm just thinking incase there's too many to choose from.
2 and 3. See this?: #16262: Slurs: integrate a text option to enable annotations for hammer ons (e.g. H) and pull offs (e.g. P)
4. I think slide would come under glissando?

Hi Chen Lung,
All of these presets are really usefull. The bend is a very important tool for a modern guitarist (specially when playing electric guitar). The give much more feeling.
The above list of the different bending technics is just a part of the notation legend you can find at the end of several guitar songbooks.
On Guitar Pro (software dedicated to plucked strings instruments), you can even edit your choosen bend technique (bend time, release time, slope, ...) to obtain a more realistic sounding bend.
About glissando, I didn't not think about it.
The result is nice but the glissando line on the tab shoud be a little bit higher on the line.
These maybe of interest:
#16259: Tapping
#16260: Tremolo Bar
#16263: Pinch Harmonics
#16264: Pick Scratch
It may be a good idea to open this as a feature request in the issue tracker.
I suspect the guy working on Tab would be more likely to pick it up.

ok, done !
BTW, it isn't clear what the pictures you linked to are trying to convey, or if you are aware of everything that is already there in MuseScore. Be sure you have the "Advanced" workspace selected under Edit / Workspaces, and be sure to check the Lines and the Arpeggio palettes as well as the Articulations palette. I don't see anything in either picture that cannot be created using what is already available on these three palettes. But maybe I'm missing some non-obvious subtlety.

Hi Marc,
You're almost right. I found the bend properties tool. Very Nice. I also found that using glissando I can make the slides.
Only one bend technique seems to be problematic (the hold bend technique). I've told about that in the tracker issue.
Thanks for your return.
Great Job.
