This should be part of the Jazz category. Arguably "common" as well. Using same parameters as 1.X. It's basically the same as Double Bass / Contrabass (which, BTW, probably don't both need to be listed under Common or under Jazz, as they are identical) except the default sound is pizz rather than arco.

Acoustic bass is there and assigned to the Jazz Category.

See line 8578 of the current instruments.xml

Part of the Plucked Strings category

I will add the COmmon genre tag to it and put in a pull request later

Sure enough! I wasn't looking for it under "Plucked Strings" as it used to be under just "Strings", but of course plucked is the whole point, so that's a good place for it. Thanks.
