I created a tablature (a guitar score + simple linked tablature).
I add a medium clef with octave symbol. When I put some notes on the normal score, the notes are not placed one octave lower on the tablature.
I used the nightly distribution on windows 7 64 bits. Revision number: 6df1e21

In which case this could be a grey area because the guitar is a transposing instrument playing an octave lower than written, unless it is written in suboctave treble clef in which case the notes are read as unison.

Presumably this is why the TAB didn't change?

I think we still need info on this.

The problem is that the note above 12 fret are correctly transposed one octave lower on the normal score, but they are also transposed one octave lower on the TAB. This behavior on the TAB is not correct. The notes should stay above the 12 fret.

Don't think so. The OP talked about a transposing issue, which I cannot reproduce.
