Converting from Sibelius 8 to MuseScore 2.1

Hello!
I'm brand new to MuseScore. I'm converting scores for a client from Sibelius 8 to MuseScore 2.1 and it's going pretty well except for 1 thing so far:
From Sibelius I export the score as a compressed Music XML. When I open that in MuseScore I get these RETURN symbols and PAGE BREAK symbols at the end of every system. These make the measure and system spacing not right, so I have to highlight and delete each of these Return and Page Break symbols to get my measure and system spacing looking good. This is rather tedious!
Is there a better way I can do this?

My only other dilemma is the chord symbols from Sibelius to MuseScore end up too low, they're on top of the notes on the staff instead of above the staff. I can't figure out from the Handbook how to Select All Chord Symbols and then raise them up higher. Can you help?

Normally chord symbols would be above the staff, so in order for us to understand what went wrong, it would help if you attached the score (probably the original MusicXML).

But anyhow, to select all of a particular element, right click one then choose Select / All Similar Elements from the resulting popup. Again, normally chord symbols would already be above the staff, but if something in that particular MusicXML changed that and made the chord lower, perhaps using the Inspector to reset the Vertical offset or using the Reset Text to Style button would put things back how they are supposed to be.

There are indeed a number of problems with that file, first and foremost being the fact that those things that look like chord symbols are not - they are stored as plain text. So they are not processed as chord symbols at all, meaning they won't transpose, won't render with flats and sharps correctly, won't export to MusicXML correctly should you need to do so in the future, etc. Not sure what went wrong in the export from Sibelius, or if they were entered incorrect there as well - normally chord symbols should export correctly from Sibelius. But these were not. No way for MuseScore to fix that; you'd need to get this fixed at the Sibelius end.

Hi,
Well, that's just wacky because I entered all those chord symbols several years ago on an older version of Sibelius by using the keyboard shortcut for chord symbols: control-k. I had no problem then when I needed to transpose and even now in the newest version of Sibelius, I can select measures and transpose them to another key and the chord symbols transpose right along with that.

I can also see that entering chord symbols on the newest version of Sibelius by clicking on the chord symbol button (instead of a keyboard command) creates chord symbols that then convert properly to MuseScore.

Fortunately, my client just wants the scores to look good and isn't planning to change them (there's many) so I'll just go with resetting the text for the chord symbols on MuseScore rather than re-do all chord symbols in Sibelius first, which would take a really long time!
