Placing Fretboard Chord Diagrams at the top of an arrangement
I have read the info on creating, editing and placing guitar-type fretboard chord diagrams within a score, but I would like to place each diagram once at the beginning of the score, and only put the chord text names over the staff throughout the song, as shown in the example. Can I do this in MuseScore?

If I drag them from the staff to the new location, are they still attached to the original staff note? Or can I fix/anchor them to the new location? Can I then add the chord text name to the image in the new location so that I don't lose the chord text name in the staff note location? If I drag the diagram to the desired location, and it is still attached to the original note, won't the diagram move around when I edit the score?
How do I create the extra blank space between title box and the score so that I can place the diagrams? I can't seem to find that setting either.
I think what I want is to start a new blank score by filling in the title/author info, then populate all of the chord diagrams that are used in the song, then start editing the actual song. Do I need to use a different workflow method?
Side topic: how do I make my graphics show up here in my post, rather than just appearing as a link? I don't see any editing functions for inserting a picture into the post. When I inserted my .JPG image, it just inserted a clickable link.

You can use the' Capture Image' method. There is a recent' How to' https://musescore.org/en/node/266325
Your purpose is different but the process is similar.
Use the "File attachments" option at the bottom of the page, just above the Save and Preview buttons when you're typing your post. Click on Choose a file
Click the frame, press F8 (Inspector) set the gap

I saw the check mark next to "insert" and thought that would insert the image, but I got the link instead
