Also not clear how you are attempting to create the accent characters - some particular keyboard layout that includes them, an OS-specific shortcut like the "ead key" method or Alt numeric code, or using the "Special Charactera" palette within MuseScore. Please attach the score you are having trouble with and precise steps to reproduce the problem. Also say exactly which experimental nightly build you are using - there is no "3.0". You can get the exact build from Help / About.

I'm in Linux Mint 17.3 , and I can't add accent marks on the fly with keyboard, but I think that this problem only happend in the ImageApp version...
Musescore 2 doesn't have this problem.
Sorry, but I post this because some people says: "maybe it's only a mac problem" and similars...
then I say: the accent mark doesn't work in linux too. is it not related?

I believe the problem with accents and dead keys in general is an AppImage problem indeed, and I believe this is already reported elsewhere.
Whether this here is a Mac specific issue is yet to be found, the OP, @chainho, hasn't yet responded to our inquiries. And it also is mainly/primarily (?) about "Can´t delete text"

No such problem here, I can add accented letters to e.g. Title text and also delete that, using Del or Ctrl+X

Could you attach the score? What OS do you use?
