what is this number?
I get also this "8" and i cannot see what it is,
can I removed it?

It indicates that all notes are an octave lower. If you don't like that, replace it with a regular treble clef and transpose down an octave, or use an instrument with "(Treble clef)" appended to it's name

Use the search box at the bottom of the instruments dialog and you will see "Guitar (treble clef)" You can use this from either the instruments dialog or change instruments under staff properties. Starting in version 2.2 the clef should be fixed (no 8) if you use the change instruments.
