I need to find out how to insert my midi file into the musicscore computer download

I'm not sure, but now that I read your question again I think you meant into the middle of a score. You can't do that, you have to open it in a new file. If it's truly a midi file, it should sound very similar once it's opened in MuseScore to what it would sound on a midi player. You may need to look at https://musescore.org/en/handbook/midi-import to make it look right, but almost nothing you do here would affect playback so it sounds "all jumbled up."

It sounds like maybe this was the result a real-time performance with no metronome or anything else to keep you on the beat? And it may have also involved drums instead of piano, but was not recorded to channel 10 as drum tracks are supposed to? I'm afraid if so, it's going to be next to impossible to do anything much with it. Better to re-record using a metronome and also being sure to put drums on channel 10.
