“Made With MuseScore”

• Aug 25, 2018 - 21:31

One thing I’ve noticed in the Made With MuseScore subforum is that a lot, if not most, of the threads there aren’t even discussing about things people create with MuseScore. I always see a lot of threads where people ask for help on how to do certain things, or because they’ve done something wrong and want to undo it. I’ve seen some threads where the person writing it can’t articulate their thoughts properly to the point that it’s barely understandable. There are even several threads on the subforum with only a title and nothing written on or attached to it.

My theory is that the proper subforum, “Suport and bug reports”, gets hundreds of new threads daily, and any person who would be knowledgeable on how MuseScore works would probably not see it, due to the massive amount of threads. Still, I don’t think going to the wrong subforum is a good workaround. I want to see people’s scores and compositions, but the subforum is flooded with stuff like “Help Required”. (Nothing personal against the writer of that thread, but there’s literally nothing written on it.)

Should it just be renamed to “General Discussion 2”?

There is not hundreds of new threads a day in the forums. But being able to move threads to a better suited subforum might help at times.
Then again "Made with Musescore" seems completely superfluous to me, that is what musescore.com is all about, isn't it?
