How to input triple dot notes
Rachmaninoff used such notes in his fourth musical moment, so is there any way to do them in MuseScore?

yes, there is, I have it on shortcut :, don't recall whether that is the default or my personal setting. AFAIK (setting up and) using a shortcut is the only way in 2.x.

The is no predefined triple dot shortcut.

OK, so I must have set it myself at some time, probably for testing, as I don't recall ever having had a need for triple dotted notes ;-)
I've now added to https://musescore.org/en/handbook/note-input#keyboard how to add double and triple dotted durations
