Crescendo and hairpins are currently ignored during playback. It would be useful for them to adjust the volume of notes on the staves where they appear.
Interesting. I came up with a solution of my own, but got stopped when I realized that MIDI offers no way to adjust the volume of a note that has already begun playing. Looks like he's getting around this by adjusting the channel volume. Anyhow, this issue should probably be closed.

It does need a rebase and may need some more work though
