Grab anything from the palette and drag it over the score. Just drag, not even drop. This will crash MS.
It's a recent regression.
OS: Windows 10 (10.0), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.0.0, revision: a0408ff

doesn't crash for me, Windows 7, self built cca24ff
I have some scores to reprocude. But once the score has been saved with a current release, the crash will no longer occur. So this is probably a already fixed issue of a previous developer release.
can you attach one such score?
BTW: I've seen that issue yesterday, while playing with the code, back then I blamed it on my code changes
I don't get it anymore, even with the scores that before failed reproducalbe. Strange..
Let's mark it fixed then, there Very recently was a draft and drop fix, probably that solved it
