As indicated in the above discussion, trill lines avoid ties by too much.

In the above picture it seems the bottom of the tr is avoiding the tie, when all that is necessary is for the actual line to avoid the tie. This would move the trill line down about 1 space and make it look better. If you enter these notes without the tie you will see that the move is significant.

This issue should be considered along with #278912: Style not passed to trill lines

Since there is no user-visible (via Format / Style / Trills) autoplace min distance setting for trills, it's difficult to know if this is due to the bounding box (or "shape") of the trill line being too conservating or due to too much padding being placed. Ideally, I think there should be such a setting.
