AS I am playing through a piece in the editor, I will at random points have the editor jump ahead a random number of measures in the score and sustain that note until I end the playback.

Is it perhaps not random but exactly every two minutes? If so, that's the autosave, which is a known issue. If that's not the case, then please attach your score so we can investigate further.

This has happened to me, too. When debugging music, I rarely play selections as long as two minutes. What is the proposed solution to this? Autosave should surely be deferred to the end of playback, no ...?

This is not "minor". MuseScore acting unprovoked like a vinyl record when the cat jumps onto the turntable is not acceptable. I never experienced this before 3.0; others see it, too.

Just letting you all know that I'm having this problem too. I think it is the autosave as it seems to be once every two minutes.

Severity S4 - Minor S3 - Major

I also have this issue. It is incredibly annoying and distruptive to my workflow. Musescore should remedy this issue as soon as possible!

Reproducibility Randomly Always

Playback skips from measure 53 to 101 every time. Was doing a simple repeat, 1st and 2nd endings. Got a bit messed up, had the right side repeat after the 2nd ending. Figured that was it. Corrected that and now it still jumps to bar 101 which is also a short 2 bar repeat, no ending. Deleted all bars and endings at 53 and 101, and it just stops playing stops playing at bar 53??? It should just play everything??
Using latest V.3. It is a quartet, and does it in every part. Checked the inspector, nothing looks bad. New to this, I am transcribing a manuscript.

This seems to be a completely different problem to the one reported 3 years ago. I suspect that there is a problem with the way you have entered the repeats and voltas (1st and 2nd endings). I suggest you start a new thread in the forum rather than tacking it onto a 3 year old thread where your problem is likely to get lost.

So, describe your problem in a new thread here: https://musescore.org/en/forum/6. Be sure to attach the score (.mscz file) that you are having problems with which will help diagnosis. To do that either press the "Choose a file" button below the comment section of the forum or drag and drop your file to the area around the "Choose a file button".
