- Select a barline in any score.
- Open the "Barlines" palette.
- Double-click one of the palette boxes for "Tick 1 span", "Tick 2 span", "Short 1 span", or "Short 2 span".

Workaround: Use the span presets at the bottom of the inspector. They work as expected:
Actually, I have a fix for this, and it is just a matter of correcting a simple typo.
