Playback in MuseScore 3

So about a week ago, I installed MuseScore 3 and lately I've been working on writing and making a battery cadence. So far I'm about 17 measures in but every time I press play for the playback, it bugs out and plays it supper slow to where nobody can understand and with some scratchy sounds. It only bugs out when it gets to about halfway of the written notes, and occasionally I'll get a flawless run through.

Anybody know why this happens and how it can be fixed ? I'd greatly appreciate it.
