Result:
Image does not move back to its original position.
Expected result:
Image moves back to its original position.

OK, putting the M$/Apple-bashing aside and going back to business:
I cannot reproduce the issue described using the file you attached in using OS: Manjaro Linux, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.4.2., revision: 148e43f
