Hairpins for vocal music
Previously, I was able to move hairpins for vocal lines above the staff by dragging them to the desired position, but I seem not to be able to do this in version 3 (the original file, from 2014, was probably in an early version of 2, and when opened in the update of 3, all the hairpins moved to the default position.) Am I missing something really obvious? I figured how out to move dynamic markings to above the staff, but not hairpins. Thanks.

Select the hairpin and change the Placement from below to above in the inspector. Auto Placement doesn't like items to move to the other side of the staff.

Thanks. I found I also had to uncheck "Automatic Placement" for that to work, otherwise the hairpin just vanished.

You're welcome, but the hairpin shouldn't vanish. Can you attach a sample score where this happens?
