1) add any (complicated) part, because this mostly happens in complicated parts
2) add any second or third (open) volta
It may now show or not show the horizontal line and/or the end hook
3) in the inspector, choosing not to show the begin hook, it now may show the horizontal line without the begin hook. Also the end hook may be affected.

This problem was seen in my other scores too, but today it was just too much for me.
After restarting Musescore, things are different now, but before the restart, after I added the last (third) volta in the main score, strange things happend when I looked at the part "Chor". Only after setting the begin hook to "none", I could see the horizontal line. The end hook was showing always when it was set to "none" in the inspector, but it disappeared when it was set to show.
It seems to be okay now, but as I wrote, only after restarting Musescore.

FWIW, I saw this glitch the other day as well, and as is the case here, it just sort of went away. I never figured out how to reproduce the problem or what triggered it, but while it was happening, it happened consistently. That is, even if I deleted the volta then added it again it displayed incorrectly.
