If a Volta is placed in Measure 1, playback will not start at the beginning of the score, but at an opening repetition bar later in the score.
Load attached test file, press playback button. Playback will not start with measure 1, but with measure 8.

You forgot to attach a score.
A volta in measure 1 makes no sense, but I'm willing to look at the score to see if you change my mind.
