Lost files when I upgraded to MuseScore 3
Very disappointed that I upgraded to MS 3. Lost all my MS 2 files (100s of hours of work.)

You probably did not lose them. Use your operating systems file manager and look for .mscz files and you will find a folder with all of your work in it. If you're not sure how, then tell us which operating system you use.
Nothing is absolutely lost in the computing world!!!
Just look for "*.mscz" files into the "File Manager" utility your Operating System uses.
Or... Just try with some software to recover erased files.
BTW: Even the extreme fact that you format the Hard Disk Drive, it is always possible to recover data from it.
MuseScore 3 just has a different default folder to store its scores in and lode from than MuseScore 2. Nothing would ever get lost, unless you explicitly deleted or overwrote it (or your harddisk has a serious problem, but then it won't affect scores only).
