How do I re-dock inspector, Mac OS /MS3

• Apr 15, 2019 - 16:05

I accidentally clicked "undock" instead of "close", and now I can't find a control to re-dock it! What is the answer?

Thanks.

This is a fairly serious problem because the floating inspector hides part of the screen, and MS isn't aware of it when scrolling/playing etc. I'm not ready to reset to factory settings and lose everything I have customized.

Well, couldn't edit the plist because it uses control-P's instead of linefeeds, so I tried renaming it, and, sure enough, lost all my settings (renaming it back didn't seem to work) and customizations, which I will have to stumble over in coming months and fix one-by-one. Wart removed, but the patient died.

Please fix the bug; factory-reset is unacceptable. Thanks

Lost the identities (but not the contents) of all the many files I had open, and "Recent" has never worked worth a damn -- it almost always comes up empty, and there still is no way to see what files one has open except very careful horizontal scrolling through the tabs ....

Please give some priority to this bug. Remember, I clicked on "undock" BY ACCIDENT.

I did not get to it because I tried the .plist first, and that "solved the problem", albeit with side effects. According to the link Shoichi posted, anyone on a Mac can try the same and find that there are no controls to re-dock, and that's the long and short of it. It's not subtle.
