The release announcement
https://musescore.org/en/musescore-1.0-released
does not currently exist. It used to, but currently redirects to
https://musescore.org/af/musescore-1.0-released
I have merged the content of
http://web.archive.org/web/20170630104445/https://musescore.org/en/muse…
into
https://musescore.org/af/musescore-1.0-released
I don't have permissions to create
https://musescore.org/en/musescore-1.0-released
please
a) create the /en/, page
b) copy the contents from /af/ to /en/,
then I can revert /af/ to its original Afrikaans.
Comments
Regression: the page used to exist, according to the Wayback machine
http://web.archive.org/web/20170630104445/https://musescore.org/en/muse…
Workaround: I "hijacked" the Afrikaans page to host the English content until we can get the English page recreated.

To tell that this issue is not fixed yet, on the non-English version of this page (even though the page has English content),
https://musescore.org/en/musescore-1.0-released
will state at the bottom:
No English translation yet for this page.
Help us translate
Also (not sure if this can be fixed), the comments on the original page, visible on the web.archive.org page) have historically value (since this is version 1.0) and I cannot think of an easy way to put them back, maybe just link to them at the bottom of the restored page.

When I tried to translate it to English the website turned into "Access denied".

Thanks for trying. Regular users cannot fix it. You need admin permissions to recreate the English page.
I have tried to reach out to various MuseScore admins/devs on Telegram. No success yet.
