Editing 'lines'
I am trying to make it inverse of a peddle symbol. I want to have, in effect, a first ending only without a number. I can find no way to do this or make the number invisible. I need to block off a section labeled "skip this section if..." I am starting to think it is not possible. I am running Musescore 2.02

I never used 2.0.2, but in 2.0.3 and later, right click the line and choose line properties. You can then delete all text and adjust the hooks to 90 or 45 degrees or make them not exist as appropriate. Use a line not any specialized line to avoid other problems.

Why not upgrade to at least 2.3.2?
Thank you everybody who responded. I did not realize I was on such an old version. I have upgraded to the version 3 and all is well.

Yoeu may want to update to 2.3.2 too, for some of your existing scores may need quite some work to look like you want them to look in MuseScore 3
