Project
  1. Add note of first voice.
  2. Add note same notehead type of second voice and make it invisible : notes merge(join).
  3. Add note third voice and the two merged notes separate again.
  4. Workaround : In stead of using 3rd voice use 4th voice. Notes in the 1st and 2nd voice
almost join again but not entirely.

Ands this happens with bothe methods of creating shared noted heads, making the shorter invisible and changing notehead type, the latter just has the advantage to now really show the notehead

needs to be a whole note

The code for merging noteheads looks at all upstem notes together, and all downstem notes, and only merges if there is no actual "overlap" between them ther than the share notes themselves. That voice 3 note is upstem and thus creates overlap, that's why changing to voice 3 allows the overlap.

Not sure this is a bug, as sharing heads on overlapping chords is frowned upon, but I suppose if the user explicitly requests it, we could consider allowing it.
