After recently updating MuseScore software I encountered this problem consistently upon launching MuseScore on my Mac (OS version 10.13.6) where the "Check for updates automatically?" pop up window with buttons for "Don't Check" and "Check Automatically" are the selections. By checking either box the pop up does remains in the foreground and does not disappear. Therefore, I have to drag it as far off the screen as possible to work.

"Frequency" means how many time(s) the issue gets reported, or more exactly, how many users reported it. In this case, one.
A newly created issue should be "active", "won't fix" means developers reviewed and decided not to fix.
And it's a duplicate of #294253: Check of Updates pop up remains on the screen, please don't create more than one threads for the same issue.

Not that I know of. And please report further in #294253: Check of Updates pop up remains on the screen rather than this duplicate.
