I am trying to enter notes into French tabulature for baroque lute (13 choros). Entry of first voice (melody) works well. But upon entry of additional voice (bass) program shuts down after specific entry of 'a' below the 6 tabulature lines. Strangely enough shut-down does not occur in the first tact. But beyond the first tact entry of 'a' below 6 lines triggers an immediate shut-down of the software. This problem did never occur with previous versions of the software.

I can't reproduce. Also I wonder where the 3rd staff is, in the Instruments dialog it shows, but not in the score?
Is there a special reason that the tablature staff is not a linked staff?
Ah, you mean note entry in the top staff, the tablature.

Which has been completely ignored, forgotten, I don't understand why/how. In more, its origin (commit) was spotted too. I don't know what else to say.
(NB, this doesn't only happen with specific notes - ie under the staff, but for all notes as soon as you change voice (works with mouse). But you have to type obligatorily the extra bass notes with the keyboard, which is not necessarily the case for the other notes/on other lines - you can do it with the mouse, too)

It's not "certain lute tablature bass notes". The problem is the voice change (and with keyboard entry) - see above.

But again it's not bass notes specifically. The crash occurs on the top string in the same manner!
It is any voice other than 1, so usually a lower voice. And it doesn't matter much really, as this issue here is closed/duplicate, but the title you reinstated "Sudden program shut-down upon entry of specific notes" doesn't make much sense, it is about (lute) tablature
We absolutely dropped the ball on that. You reported the crash, you did your usual way-above-the-call-of-duty research and pinpointed the exact cause of the problem, and somehow no one picked up on it. Brown bags for the whole development team, I'm afraid. On behalf of everyone, I apologize.
