1. Open attached score (initiated in 1.3, continued and saved in 2.0).
2. 'Style'>'General...'.
3. Tick 'Hide empty staves' and 'Don't hide empty staves in first system'.
4. 'OK'.

Result: Brackets don't appear for remaining stave in group (Keyboard 2 and Piano - see images).

Discussion: See this . To retain such brackets, an option could be added in 'General…'.

Using MuseScore 2.0 Nightly Build (7cd411a) - Mac 10.7.5.

Not sure. But I have an idea that might be a good compromise in the mean time.

The main use case I know of where one definitely does not want brackets to remain after hide empty staves is scores for a single instrument. Eg, piano. So why not just make the default be to skip the brackets if the score has only a single instrument (that would automatically be true of parts unless you went out of your way to put several instruments on one part)?

There are other use cases as well, but maybe if I make this change, we will be able to live more comfortably without the option.
