Dotted whole note crashes in 5/4 measure (0.9.6 regression)

  1. Open promenade demo score
  2. Press "N" to begin note entry mode
  3. From the note input toolbar, select a dotted whole note
  4. Click on the first note of measure 1 to add the dotted whole note

MuseScore crashes

(Tested using r.2179 nightly, Windows XP. Bug not present in 0.9.5 stable)

Actually I can't reproduce this either using the steps I listed above. I can reproduce the crash consistently when I'm not in note-entry mode:

  1. Open promenade demo
  2. In the first measure click to select the note
  3. On the note input toolbar click whole note duration
  4. On the note input toolbar click to add a dot

(Tested using r.2179 nightly, Windows XP)

The current implementation is not complete. Some note durations cannot be created. This happens if a note must be splitted across a bar line. The second part can get a duration which is not representable by a single note and must be set as two or more tied notes. There are several reports pointing to this bug. Hope i can fix it soon.l
