Hairpin shortcut
I am trying to use the shortcut for hairpins in Muse Score 3 but it doesn't work. I thought that maybe I needed to download the latest upgrade but it still doesn't work. I am working on a Dell laptop, not the gaming version, but one down from that.

I looked in the Issue Tracker, and I couldn't spot any recent report about hairpin shortcuts not working.
Have you read the Handbook topic, in particular the section "Add a hairpin"?

Perhaps you should try a factory reset: Help > Revert to Factory Settings?
Be sure to actually select something first.
