In the attached score,
- right click a dotted 8th note triplet
- choose more...
- check Same Duration: Triplet dotted 8th
Result: All 8th notes are selected
Expected only the dotted 8th notes in triplets should be selected

all 8th, dotted or not, triplet or not?
all 8th are selected
THey are the same duration mathematically - they both reduce to exactly half a beat. To me it's an open question as to what someone might expect in general, but presumably it would be possible to alter the algorithm. Meanwhile, it does seem to work to check both the "same duration" and "same duration type" boxes, so it's possible to get either behavior, which I guess is kind of nice.
The problem then is that it's not giving the option of the correct note type. This option is an 8th note, while I'm right click a dotted 8th note. @Marc, you are correct, the duration is the same, dotted 8th note triple of 16ths = duration of 8th note (no tuplets). BTW, checking only the "Same note type" does select the dotted 8th notes.
I'll update the title to the correct issue.

Workround is
check
- Same Duration: Triplet dotted 8th
in combination with
- Same Note Type
