This score has become corrupt - or more particular, the parts have, which is why MuseScore doesn't report the problem. If you delete the parts in File / Parts then regenerate them, all is well.

If you have any insight into how the corruption might have happened, that would help in debugging. But due to the unusual namiung and arrangement of them, I'm kind of guessing you might be seeing the effects of #313664: Reversing the order of the instruments after creating parts leads to very bad result (corruption/crashes).

In the attached mscz-file I've played around with Layers when starting to work on that file. After some trying I removed that to continue without that. Now I've created a new file, copied the piano Instrument via Clipboard from the problematic file to a new file. Now it works much more stable.
Hope this hint helps you identifying the issue.

Do you really mean Layers, an experimental feature that is only visible when using the -x copmmand line option?

Probably Voices was meant, Layers is the Finale term for a similar feature. But yes, there are slurs there currently, I was guessing the problem was meant to be if you tried replacing one with a tie. And I can reproduce in that case - because, again, of the corrupt part(s).
