Create a score, add a note and drag an staccato. If you are using Emmentaler font, the staccato will not be displayed and not played. If you change the font you will be able to see the staccato but it still will not be played

Which version of MuseScore, and can you provide a sample score that demonstrates this, with precise steps to reproduce (eg, what zoom level are you at, which note are you dragging the staccato marking to)? I have no problems adding staccatos to any notes in any version of MuseScore, including 1.3, 2.0 Beta 1, or any other recent development build.
We still need to see the score you having trouble with. As mentioned, I am having no difficulties at all - it displays fine in any font, and plays back fine as well. So it might be something specific about you score. Are you sure you are releasing when the note highlights? What happens if you click the note than double click the staccato dot? That's normally the easier method than drag & drop anyhow.

Yes, I'm releasing when the note highlights. I've tested the two metods of intro and problem still there. One important thing: I've tested it on Windows and works perfectly. Could this be a bug only in Linux? Here is how staccatos looks like with the Emmentaler font:

Mscore font from 1.3 used in preference to 2.0 on some Linux systems
Ah, those rectangles are a dead giveaway - you must have an older / incompatible version of the mscore and/or mscore-1 font installed on your system. Normally, you should not have *any* version of mscore or mscore-1 installed - it's compiled into the application. However, it is possible that at some time, you installed an version of the font manually for some reason. I also hear that someone or other once packaged a version of MuseScore 1.3 for Fedora incorrectly, so that it installed fonts rather compile them in. Perhaps you had installed that version of 1.3 at some point? This was recently reported on the forum - see http://musescore.org/en/node/29061
In any case, this definitely looks like a font installation issue on your system. I'm changing the title on the assumption that a previous installation of this bad 1.3 package is the culprit. If you think you perhaps manually installed an older version of mscore or mscore-1, just delete them and your problem goes away. Unfortunately, you won't then be able to use 1.3 uhntil someone fixes the Fedora package for that release.
This will still remain a problem for anyone who installed that particular 1.3 package, so I will leave this issue open under the new title either way.
You're right! I had installed MuseScore 1.3 and MuseScore 2.0 beta 1 together. I've uninstalled MuseScore 1.3 and the problem was solved (even the playback issue). Thank you :)
BTW, regarding playback - I suspect what you are noticing is that the default length of staccato playback has changed, and in some cases it's more subtle than it was before. Depends on the instrument and on the length of the original note. But this doesn't relate at all to fonts.

The problem is not add the stacatto, I have problems with the Emmentaler font and playback. I'm using the default zoom
