You can't paste system text currently. I have no idea what an override button is. Insert is used to insert measures in MuseScore.

That term (joke) was intentional. By double-clicking in the window on the right I can opt for an alternative, but all it takes is adding even just one letter and the previous version is shown again (and very often I copy and paste carelessly). Google used to do this too.
Has drumix solved it?

Edit: Rectification, I hadn't added the final c. Well done deepl.

thanks a lot
the old one ( only select > get blue) is more convenient why changed ?

Insert /override means:
Wiki say
The Insert key Insert (often abbreviated Ins) is a key commonly found on computer keyboards. It is primarily used to switch between the two text-entering modes on a personal computer (PC) or word processor: overtype mode, in which the cursor, when typing, overwrites any text that is present in the current location;

The question of the o.p. about insert key has nothing to do with the shortcut to insert measures.
He means that once in text edit mode the insert key should behave like it does in any text editing application even notepad.
That doesn't mean that the behaviour of the insert key outside of text edit mode would be modified, there it would stay insert measures.
