Right at the beginning of the piece, it sounds like forte even though I set it as a piano. I tried adjusting the velocity or leave it offset but there's no change. I did reset the software to its factory configuration but it's still not working properly. Am I doing something wrong?

I don't know what you're doing wrong but the dynamics work fine at the beginning on my system. What sound font are you using?
