Project
- In the Title box of a score frame, type some Western text, and then paste in Cyrillic (e.g. its translation) Спартак
- Notice that it is displayed incorrectly in Western text as Cnapmak
- Create a new text box and paste in the same Cyrillic text - it renders correctly
This was not a problem in 3.5 when I did this routinely with Russian scores e.g. https://musescore.com/user/4151271/scores/6534928

Works for me. Does loose the Italic though
Hold on, the paste is correct, as you wrote the copied text is not
It appears to be a problem with the Edwin font. If I change to Leland, the text is rendered correctly. I guess Edwin is not a Unicode font.
And it is indeed the Itaclic that screws things up
See
Leland is not a text font at all, but I guess LelandText is. Not sure why Leland shows up in the font selection.
I guess it works because SMuFL is a superset of Unicode
But Edwin is a Unicode font, just not complete, not covering all code points it seems
