When entering notes with midi keyboard I receive unwanted notes.

Can you explain the problem in more detail? Do you mean you press one key but see several appear in your score? Could be your keyboard is transmitting multiple notes for each key, like if you have layers turned on or something (to play piano & string sounds at once, for instance).

I will play 'C and E together and receive that plus a note 1 octave below. It dosn't happen all the time.
I suspect it has something to do with my Kurzweil.

Almost certainly exactly what I said about. Consult the keyboard manual to see if there is a way to turn off layers, or to force it to transmit on only one channel.
