If you copy notes from the bottom staff to the tablature in the attached file you will get something different, that was meant. For example some note values become just a senseless bar "|", dots are completely ignored.

Can you give precise steps to reproduce the problem? Which notes need to be copied in order to see it?

I tried selecting the notation in bar 1 and copied to the tab in the first empty bar. I got what appeared to me at least to be the correct results.

Now, I can verify a screen-display glitch where upon scrolling the score up to where the notes values go off-screen, then back down, then don't get draw correctly right away. That's not related to copy/paste, I can see it happen just scrolling the score as is. But it lasts only until you touch something that causes the screen to be redrawn 0 really just about anything, even hitting Esc, clicking an empty spot in the score, etc.

Indeed, it is a very old glitch (version 2). It appears from time to time on the forums. Something that doesn't work well with beaming in certain circumstances. I've never taken the time to try to isolate when this happens, especially since it's very easy to solve, by selecting the measure(s) that doesn't display well, and then clicking "Auto" in the Beams properties palette. Or, select All (Ctrl + A) and "Auto" again
