1.The shift switch notations appear in the middle of the staff and can overlay and obscure notes/rests. They should be moveable.
2. In standard accordion notation, Stradella counterbass is indicated by the equivalent of a tenuto symbol under the note. Using this symbol makes it impossible to generate a non-tenuto note in Play mode.

Can you post a sample score demonstrating what you mean? I'm not familiar enough with accordion-specific notation to understand from the description here, at regarding "shift switch notation".

If you want a symbol that looks like a tenuto but doesn't play like one, just turn off the "Play" property for it. Or add it from the Symbols palette (press "Z" to display) rather than as an actual articulation.

I was using the Accordion Register Symbols on Musescore 4.1.1 but they're not playing the extra notated Octaves. Sounds like Musescore needs another update.

Sounds like you have some sort of question about using MuseScore (or perhaps a third-party plugin), but it isn't clear what problem you are encountering, Please ask for help on the official Support forum and attach your score and describe the problem in more detail, so we can understand and assist better.

If you are referring to symbols added from the Master palette "SYmbols" section - yes, all of these symbols are graphic only. There would be ways of switching sounds, but for discussion of how to do that, please ask for help on the forum. We're unable to provide support here on this now-closed tracker.
