Part vs. Main — I not sure what to think
At times it's challenging in MuseScore to know what be synced between a Main Score and the player's Part (and what will show, or not show.)
Today I created a Main Score with four treble clef staves and a bass staff. I wanted tablature on one of the treble clef parts. I knew that adding the tablature staff to the Main Score would cause it appear in the Part (when the Part is later generated — BUT— I didn't want tablature showing in an already busy Main Score ...
So I took a chance:
• I generated the Parts prior to adding the linked tablature staff.
• Then, while working in one of the Treble clef Parts, I opened the Instrument panel and added a Tablature staff.
Very surprising results:
a) no tablature staff was added to the Part
b) a tablature staff was added to the Main Score.
It's hard to think of convincing rationales for this. Something about creation order? That additions made in the Instrument window always affect the Main Score, but by design they don't affect the Part ... so you have to regenerate parts even if you've devoted an enormous amount of work on them?

See src/engraving/libmscore/property.cpp, line 68 ff. for the complete list, the boolean in the 2nd column detetermins whether the property is linked or not

You can already get that (it's a fairly recurrent request, especially from users coming from Guitar Pro, there are several threads about it). However, it was not designed to work like this. With this kind of hijacking, it could be done (with some risks of corruption). It seems to me that it got worse, in a recent update (after fixing other such bugs). I didn't check on this test file (so, 4 standard guitars and a bass in the main score, and the first one - for example - displayed in TAB in its part) : guitars.mscz
EDIT: maybe I didn't understand completely? Do you want (in a part): say's TAB staff only (as I did in the attached file) or standard + TAB in the same part - and only in standard staff for the same guitar in main score? In the latter case, unless I don't remember more of a detour, I don't think it's possible.

Re the EDIT:
What I do in such a case is have an additional "main score" part created, which can leave out instruments not to be seen in that score version.
